Comprising marble, quartz, glass, or other aggregates in a binding agent, like cement, terrazzo's history traces back to ancient Egypt and Venetian palaces. This composite exhibits a distinctive speckled appearance. Our Terrazzo-inspired products are made from lightened concrete and a blend of granules for enhanced durability and a self-drying feature, setting them apart from traditional Terrazzo.
The uniqueness of this product is enhanced by its ability to absorb liquids and acids, such as oil and red wine, which results in permanent staining. As a result, the product evolves, displaying subtle changes in color and surface structure, making it a ‘living thing’. A product that develops more character over time, perfect for those who value a table with personality.

Care and maintenance

For daily cleaning, dip a soft clean cloth in a solution of warm clear water and a pH-neutral fluid detergent. Rinse thoroughly and let dry. Stains should be wiped off immediately, especially acidic substances (juice, coffee, red wine, balsamic vinegar, …) since they may cause permanent stains. Bird droppings and leaves can also cause permanent stains if not removed promptly. We recommend using a protective cover if you are not using your table.

Oil, grease and wax stains can be removed by using Tribù Oil, Wax and Grease Remover. Do not use corrosive or acidic detergents.
To protect your table, we recommend using Tribù Lightened Concrete Conditioner regularly. However, this product does not protect against acidic substances. It can also be used for removing stains. Depending on the type of stain and its age, the stain can be completely removed or its intensity reduced.
